First Pop-Up Event
What a Weekend! Rain, Cupcakes, and Cozy Vibes at our first Pop-Up Event.
This past Saturday, Shelf Love Bakery took a leap into the local foodie scene with our very first pop-up event! And what a day it turned out to be - despite the cold, drizzly weather.
As a brand-new business in a small town, we’ve been blown away by the huge push of support we’ve received from our community. Huge shout out to Bubby’s BBQ for the extra love and support. From the bottom of our flour-dusted hearts, thank you! It’s clear that this town knows how to rally around its own - and loves a good baked treat!
The pop-up featured some of our favorite bakery creations, including our blueberry muffins, dark chocolate truffles, and our signature oatmeal cookies. And apparently, Smithville is home to some serious strawberry lovers because our strawberry cupcakes were the star of the show! They sold out so fast we almost didn’t get to try one ourselves.

Connecting with other book lovers and sharing our dream of a cozy, small-town bookstore with yummy desserts
Watching customers smile while trying one of the baked goods we put so much love into creating (that is seriously the best part of baking)
Making our first official sale as a new business! – It’s truly a new level of exhilaration
If you missed out this time, don’t worry! We will host regular pop-up events until our storefront is up and running. No rain clouds allowed next time - fingers crossed.
